As Federal Counsel, and as a senior government official, Carla developed front line knowledge and experience at a time of significant change and advancement in Indigenous Law. Natural Resource projects, whether at the exploration stages, or mega projects, such as the MGP and Canada’s Diamond Mines, require an understanding of the full scope of Honour of the Crown and constitutionally entrenched s. 35 rights relating to potential rights as well as those constitutional rights entrenched within Indigenous historic and modern treaties, including Comprehensive Land Claim and Self Government Agreements.
