Legal counsel to the Canadian Arctic Resources Committee in the matter of the negotiation and establishment of a five year ecological/socio-economic study in the West Kitikmeot Slave Region of the Northwest Territories. Negotiations involved a variety of ecological and socio-economic issues in the West Kitikmeot Slave Region including land claims and treaty entitlement (Treaty 11 Dogrib, Treaty 8 Dene, Dene Nation and the Inuit of the Nunavut Settlement Area), establishment of tribal parks and other conservation areas, natural resource development alternatives and revenue sharing possibilities.
